All jewelry that is cast in brass metal, contains trace amounts of nickel for it's silver & gold tone finish. Nickel may be an allergen & cause a skin rash to some people. All plated jewelry does lose a bit of it's colour over time. However, if maintained properly this is minimized to a large extent!
